Founded in 1979, the company has represented clients from a diverse number of industries, including banking, finance, environmental, recycling, non-profits, water and wastewater, real estate development, power generation, agriculture, retail, hospitality, and more…

Advertising services include: program development, media planning, and design and production of logos, advertisements, brochures, radio, tradeshow booths, billboards, websites, corporate videos and more. The public relations services include consultation and program development, new product/company launches, image campaigns, media training, crisis management, and public outreach/education events.

The company has specialized in environmental concerns and NIMBY issues, recently doing work for clients with a sludge-to-soil process, odor abatement, and an ultrasonic algae control device.

Some of the PR highlights in the Company’s history include creating the First Night Ball Raising Event at the Hotel Northampton in Massachusetts; presenting a client, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle co-creator, Kevin Eastman, at the National Press Club Luncheon Event in Washington, D.C., and at the office of Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis where he proclaimed Massachusetts TMNT Day ; guest speaker/panel member at the Purdue University School of Public Relations in Indiana; winning a National First Place Award for Radio Advertising for the Hampshire Community United Way; launching CISA’s “Be A Local Hero” campaign in Western Massachusetts, creating and managing the grand opening event for the Norwottuck Rail Trail in Hadley, Massachusetts, and the reopening event for the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Bridge, as well as, numerous PR events for Florence Savings Bank, which helped define the bank’s character and its commitment to the community.   

The Benjamin Company has designed websites and/or web graphics for: Adare Place Properties; Hadley Crossing; Hampshire County Cares; Jonathan Edwards Meetinghouse; Norman Black, Musician; Oxbow Marina; SonicSolutions Algae Control; and VitAg Corp., as well as Bramble Hill Farms; FSB Customer Choice Community Grants-Voting Module; Florence Savings Bank; Florence Savings Promotions; New Century Theatre; and PayMoreFees.

The company has also created animated video cells for two films (The Wilderness Idea and The Adirondack Museum: 30 years both by Florentine Films), which have been broadcast on the PBS Series, The American Experience. Recently The Benjamin Company produced a video for a client, which had a short historical reenactment vignette. 

The firm created the “Drive to Local Banking” campaign for Florence Savings Bank (a 26 year client), which featured “Don’t Blame Me…I Bank Locally” bumper stickers.  The campaign has received national interest and is licensed to banks in other parts of the county.

The Benjamin Company has helped launch many start up businesses, such as the successful Our Family Farms, a cooperative of local dairy farmers; SonicSolutions Algae Control, an ultrasonic devise that controls the growth of algae in lakes, ponds and water treatment plant; CISA (Community Involved in Sustainable Agriculture), and River Valley Fencing.  In addition, the company has helped established businesses by providing them with updated logo, sales literature, signage and ongoing ad grids for such companies as the Don Muller Gallery, The Hadley Garden Center, and Burke Chevrolet.

The principals of the agency are Paul A. Benjamin and Marian Chapman.
